Day Twentysix: 8 November 2009

It was a pretty standard Sunday today. And it was especially warm (68!!!) so i went on a good long ride and played some football. That, boybrunch, church and homework took up most of the day. Also, I finished my application to study in Washington DC.

In US/World news, the House Healthcare bill passed with a narrow margin, and now faces a tough test in the senate.

The Iraqi parliament ended weeks of debate and passed a law paving the way for the planned January election to go forward, avoiding a crisis that could have delayed the U.S. troop withdrawal.

Hurricane Ida, the first Atlantic hurricane to target the United States this year, plodded Sunday toward the Gulf Coast with 105 mph winds, bringing the threat of flooding and storm surges. Louisiana’s Governor Jindal declared a preemptive state of emergency in order to prepare for the storm.

Crazy technology.

This is a huge graphic, but it is very cool.
